Application of Evonik’s high white aluminum silicate 820A

Sipernat820A is a synthetic aluminum silicate sodium salt with extremely high whiteness and fine particle size. It has high purity, uniform particle size distribution, easy dispersion and excellent stability. In rubber and adhesives, 820A product is used as a functional filler. Its main function is to reinforce and increase mechanical strength. At the same time, it can increase the consistency and thixotropy in adhesives to improve construction.

Application areas: water-based interior and exterior wall coatings, decorative coatings, industrial primers, satin coatings, textile printing pastes, paper coatings, printing inks, rubber products and other fields.

Advantages of Evonik High White Aluminum Silicate 820A

● 820A is alkaline (PH10.1): it will not affect the rubber vulcanization reaction.

● Good dispersion: Surface-treated 820A has particularly good compatibility with oil (during customer testing, it can be completely dispersed by directly adding 820A into the oil and then stirring it with a glass holder). 820A has better dispersion and processing properties than silica.

● Improve the hardness of rubber products: For example, the customer's original rubber formula has a hardness of 40 degrees. After adding 820A, the hardness can be increased to 60 degrees, while maintaining the original mechanical properties and the tensile strength does not decrease. It only increases the hardness alone. Ordinary aluminum silicate and silica clay materials can also increase the hardness of rubber, but the mechanical and mechanical properties are seriously reduced. Due to the high silica content of 820A, the mechanical properties of rubber can be maintained.
