該高分(fēn)子量助劑通過空間位阻使顔料解絮凝并穩定。DISPERBYK-163 對顔料顆粒提供相同的電(diàn)荷。由此産(chǎn)生的排斥力和位阻穩定作(zuò)用(yòng)可(kě)有(yǒu)效避免可(kě)能(néng)的共絮凝，使多(duō)顔料體(tǐ)系不會産(chǎn)生浮色和發花(huā)。該助劑的解絮凝性能(néng)可(kě)增加塗料的光澤、顔色強度、透明性和遮蓋力，同時降低研磨料的粘度。
推薦應用(yòng)
DISPERBYK-163 具(jù)有(yǒu)寬廣的相容性，可(kě)用(yòng)于各種溶劑型配方。也可(kě)用(yòng)于問題塗料的後期補救。對于一些新(xīn)的應用(yòng)，推薦使用(yòng)更新(xīn)的助劑如 DISPERBYK-2163 和 DISPERBYK-2164。

助劑用(yòng)量（購(gòu)入形式）基于顔料：
無機顔料： 15-20 %
二氧化钛： 4-5 %
有(yǒu)機顔料： 30-60 %
炭黑： 80-100 %
上述數據為(wèi)經驗用(yòng)量，最佳用(yòng)量需通過一系列試驗确定。
加入方法和加工(gōng)指導
為(wèi)了獲得最佳性能(néng)，應先将助劑加入研磨料中(zhōng)，再加入顔料。先将研磨料的樹脂和溶劑組份預混合，然後在不斷攪拌下緩緩加入助劑。在助劑未混合均勻前不可(kě)加入顔料。可(kě)以通過後添加方式補救出現問題的塗料，此時，需要在高剪切力條件下緩慢加入。
